The Bachelor degree program in Civil Engineering is the broadest of all discipline which is arguably the oldest among all disciplines which is first to be recognized and developed as a field of study. Civil Engineers build the civilization of the world. In doing so, they quietly shape the history, economic progress, public's health, safety and standard of living of Nation.
 
This field encompasses  design and planning, construction, supervision, quality control and maintenance of physical structures which often includes altering the natural geography to meet human needs,  such as Water works, Sewers, Dams, Buildings, Roads, Bridges, Dams, Canals, Power Plants, Railroads, Traffic Controls, Mass Transit, Airport Runways, Industrial Plant Building, Skyscrapers, Sea ports, Power Plants and Airports. 
 

True learning and knowledge only comes from execution and practice. Realizing this, AT GEHU we ensure all theory sessions follow practical lab sessions and further practical assignments and project work are assigned to the students.

Employment of civil engineers is projected to grow 8 percent from 2014 to 2024, about as fast as the average for all occupations. As infrastructure continues to age, civil engineers will be needed to manage projects to rebuild bridges, repair roads, and upgrade levees and dams as well as airports and buildings.

The education and careers of our students are our raison d'etre. The faculty, staff, and university administration would not be here but for the students. It is self-understood that after providing them with a superb education, we also assist them with career counseling and job placement. This is one of the major advantages we have as a small department in a small engineering school.

In India as a developing economy have more job opportunities to offer to civil engineers than any other engineer in the country. Our faculty maintains close relationships with the local industry. We have an Industry Advisory Committee that consists of industry leaders and meets regularly to advise us on educational and professional matters. Then there are many close ties to our alumni as well to industry and local professional organizations that facilitate the job placement of our graduates
