With the Masters course in Business Administration, we prepare Managers who now have far more demands in the market. In addition to strong technical skills, managers must also possess a range of such soft skills as the ability to influence people, manage interfaces with other departments, negotiate with individuals from all walks of life, manage their own career in a complicated job environment and more. Managers should know how each part of the company fits with other parts, how the company competes, and how it should compete. This increased complexity has made postgraduate managerial education more necessary than it was in the past.

Those who opt for Finance as a major, are positioning themselves for high profile careers as financial planners, securities dealers, financial analysts or advisors, portfolio managers or investment counsellors. With skills in supply management, production, transportation, storage and quality control, Operations and Logistics graduates are groomed for careers as production planners, quality control consultants, logistics specialists, stock managers and purchasers.

MBA graduates with a specialisation in Marketing are experts in managing the marketing of products and services, market research, personal selling and relations with buyers. They pursue careers as market research analysts, product managers or advertising executives in marketing publicity agencies. Graduates specializing in Human Resources Management are employed as officers or specialists in recruitment and personnel selection, compensation management, enterprise resource planning, performance and appraisal management, health and safety, and labour laws and industrial relations. Graduates who specialize in Business Information Systems are adept at solving IT problems and are skilled in e-Business. They find jobs as IT project managers, administrative process analysts or systems integration managers.

The world over, MBA programs have become very successful at giving a new direction to managers. GEHU, MBA comprises of diverse verticals and functions. The course curriculum is designed to ensure that the student can excel in the corporate world. The course enhances analytical and decision making skills so that they can efficiently deal with various aspects of business and handle the roles and responsibilities of management effectively.

Over the length of the two years, students spend 20 months on campus honing their knowledge and skills and the remaining three months working in real time with companies, applying what they have learned to actual industry-based projects. Concentrating on the development of general management skills, the course stresses decision-making capabilities; social and ethical values; professional competence; expertise in marketing, finance and systems and global business strategies.

The learning experience in the MBA encompasses a broad range of concepts: actual case studies with simulations; real life projects; debates; discussions with senior executives of organizations, start ups and consulting projects
