The department of Commerce at Graphic Era Hill University has introduced the specialized course of Master of Commerce- one of the most prestigious courses in the country. According to industry experts, an M.Com graduate is well placed in business, academics and administration; both at international and national platforms. An M. Com graduate from GEHU, armed with the requisite knowledge, will be well received in the industry and will optimally serve the needs of managerial cadre in industry thereby becoming an integral part of the organization he/ she serves. This course at GEHU serves the needs of academics as well, and prepares a graduate for research and teaching in commerce trade. Graphic Era Hill University offers Masters of Commerce as a natural extension of the undergraduate course in Commerce i.e. B. Com (H). The most common specializations that a graduate opts for are in Advance Accountancy, Business Management and E-Commerce. This course at GEHU therefore aims at providing specialization(s) to its students in the corresponding field of interest/ strength. Further, the course content has been designed by taking care of all of the requirements of the industry as well as the academia. The final merit list, for admission under this Category shall be determined by normalizing the marks of eligible B. Com and B. Com (H) candidates.

Additionally based on the specialization, an M.Com graduate from GEHU can also be employed in fields related to their degree foci, such as financial services, marketing and project management. Several graduates often choose to work in general management and business consulting as well.

Since the M. Com at GEHU includes a research component it thus provides access to a doctorate; progressing from the M.Com at GEHU, a graduate can pursue a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), or a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) degree program in Management and Commerce.

In an effort to truly "globalize" the Teaching and Learning experience that one undergoes, the School of Commerce has collaborated with the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) to offer an international insight into the world of  International Finance and Accounts via curriculum development for the Academic Session 2017 along with learning partner ISDC (International skill Development Corporation)


School of Commerce has always been at the forefront of encouraging students to enhance their employable skills by engaging themselves in various cross cultural and extra-curricular activities. One such activity where students of School of Commerce have prevailed are Language Courses conducted in the University- 50 students of School of Commerce have registered themselves and are attending the Spanish Language Classes organized in Graphic Era Hill University with Trainer Mr. Hugo Alves.


Puneet Gandhi, a student of School of Commerce, got an opportunity to represent India in the Asia Pacific region at the APAC4U Conference in Malaysia in Novemebr 2016 where, not only did he get a chance to develop his Leadership skills, but also get an opportunity to interact with some Industry stalwarts and showcase his pet project, Wings, which deals with basic sanitation issues faced by women in India at a global scale. Some eminent personalities whom he interacted with during the course of this conference represented the biggest corporate houses of the world such as Paypal- Asia Pacific Director- Mr. Azim Iqbal, CEO and founder of Chat time Malaysia- Mr. Bryan Loo, Mr. Wong Sheue Yann - Divisional general manager of cooperating service & Youth icon of Malaysia Mr. Michael Teoh Su Lim. On thelast day of this Youth centric conference,  he got an opportunity to meet Honourable Mr. Tan Sri Dr Ali B Hamsa ( Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia) 

Department of commerce has promoted students to take part in competitive examination and other professional courses like CA and CS Foundation. Some students have also won prizes in NCC and Sports.



Students of School of Commerce at Graphic Era Hill University visited Cairo, Egypt in summer 2014 for an Internship in the TMA Project facilitated by AIESEC in Dehradun. 5 students namely Lavanshi Anand, Rajat Sharma, Jasmine Kaur, Sourabh Joshi and Yash Gupta, were selected for the same.



In 2015,Ivjyot Singh and Inderdeep Singh of B.Com (Honors) visited Tomsk, Russia for an international internship.


These students were further selected for an internship to Malaysia in winter, 2016.
