    Graphic Era Hill University celebrated International Day for Biological Diversity on May 22, 2014. Mr. Jagat singh “Juglee”, a well renowned environmentalist, Mr. Vijay Prasad & Mr. Satendra Bhandari, both well renowned Social activists were the honorable chief guest & speakers for the occasion. Mr. Jagat singh “Junglee” enlightened the gathering with his presentation on a self developed forest. It was an awe-inspiring presentation where he focused the attention of the audience on the need for forestation, which he has been developing for many years in Rudrapryag District of Uttarakhand. He spoke about the decreasing interest of today’s youth in ecological and biodiversity conservation which is a life saver on Earth. Furthermore he focused on the problems that ecology & biodiversity have been facing due to human negligence and interference with natural ecosystem balance.

    After this wonderful presentation, one of the student, who represents M.A.D (NGO) and who has been conducting many clean-up drives, marathons, etc. to keep the environment green, clean & healthy spoke briefly to the audience as well. His main emphasis was to encourage them to join such association & Make A difference, by being different.

    On this occasion Graphic Era Hill University vice chancellor Sir Prof. Sanjay Jasola, Registrar Sir Shri D.P Thapliyal , H.O.D (Environmental Science) Dr. Kamal Kant Josh, School of Allied Sciences faculty and students of School of Allied Sciences were present to make the celebration of International Biodiversity Day a grand success from their side.
