GEHU's Social Responsibility

At Graphic Era Hill University (GEHU), in addition to our pursuit of providing a holistic learning environment to all our students and members, we also strive to send into the world socially responsible and ethically aware citizens who will contribute productively to the development of the India and the world.

It is with this objective that GEHU organizes annual blood donation camps and drives on campus and has been a pioneer amongst educational institutes in this effort.

GEHU further strives to imbibe the true spirit of change and social service by organizing annual and regular NSS (National Service Scheme) and NCC (National Cadet Corp) camps throughout the year. In this spirit, we encourage our students to participate in various extra- curricular as well as social awareness camps to inculcate in them the spirit of social responsibility. In fact the National Integration Camp organized by National Cadet Corps (NCC) saw cadets representing Uttarakhand from the GEHU and Graphic Era unit prevail and bag the first position in the overall championship.

This National Integration Camp, organized in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh saw 16 students, inclusing 6 female students, from GEHU and Graphic Era bag the Championship among the other 24 units participating on account of their phenomenal performance and skills. An educator from Graphic Era, D C Pandey was awarded the Best A.N.O at this National Integration Camp. In the students, Mayur Pandey and Gayatri Sharma were awarded the Best Debater at this camp. Additionally, Cadets Tarun Tiwari & Sergeant Gaurav claimed the first position in the Presentation Section of this camp.

Our students are furthermore affiliated to the Making A Difference (M.A.D) initiative in Dehradun which encompasses cleaning and forestation drives and other events.
