Women’s Day 2025

GEHU, Bhimtal witnessed a colourful celebration of the International Women’s Day on March 8th- 'Power of Pink'.

The women support staff at the campus, the women teachers, and the girl students all came together to mark this year’s theme of “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”

Gram Pradhan of Dob Leshwal, Mrs. Hema Arya was invited as the chief guest, who, along with the Campus Director and other women participants, lit the lamp symbolising progress. The Campus Director praised the important contribution of women to society and honoured the campus women support staff members for their exceptional work. He assured Mrs Arya that the University would continue to work to empower the women at the Dob Leshwal village and announced that women at the village will be the first to receive the mobile app ‘Nanhi Sanjeevani’, developed by GEHU students.

All the women members participated in activities like dance performances and fun games and won prizes. They also participated in a special Zumba session conducted for them. Student members presented for them, entertaining songs and a thought-provoking nukkad natak. Students Niharika Negi and Lalit Kaira conducted the celebration, and Dr. Farah and Dr. Kavita thanked all the members for their enthusiastic participation.
