FDP on Synergising Problem & Project Based Learning & Design Thinking for Nurturing Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship by Dr. Deepak L. Waikar, Chair IEEE Educational Society Singapore
A five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Synergizing Problem & Project-Based Learning & Design Thinking for Nurturing Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship" is being organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Graphic Era Hill University, Bhimtal Campus from February 17, 2025 to February 21, 2025. The first day of the FDP aimed to empower faculty members with advanced teaching methods to cultivate creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial skills in students.
The esteemed speakers for this program were Dr. Deepak L. Waiker, Chair of the IEEE Education Society, Singapore, and Dr. Saroj Waiker, former Publication Director at the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), Singapore Advisory Board.
The day began with an address by Campus Director, GEHU, Bhimtal, who emphasized the significance of FDP and shared a brief history of the university. The session then began with Dr. Deepak L. Waiker introducing the topic, followed by Dr. Saroj Waiker's presentation. Dr. Waiker then delved into Problem and Project-Based Learning, engaging faculty members in group activities. The session concluded with Dr. Waiker summarizing the key points of the topic.
