

In a significant initiative to raise awareness about water conservation, Graphic Era Hill University, in collaboration with the Civil Engineering Department of Graphic Era Deemed University, organized the H2O Movement: Walk for Water program. Renowned spiritual leader and President of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh, Swami Chidanand Saraswati, highlighted the need for lifestyle changes to conserve water and emphasized the role of students in promoting a cleaner, greener future. Dr. Bharat Fisher, Chairman of Give Life Foundation, spoke on the importance of a bone marrow registry, while Padma Shri Kalyan Singh Rawat, founder of the Maiti Andolan, discussed the pressing water crisis in Uttarakhand. Additionally, spiritual leader, Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati and social activist Sanjana Jon emphasized ethical consumerism and sustainable living to combat water scarcity. Present at the event were Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Jasola, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University, Dr. Narinder Singh, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University, Dr. K.K. Gupta, HOD Civil Engineering, Graphic Era Deemed University, and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Coordinator of the event.
