The Himpravah Film Festival, organized by the Department of Media and Mass Communication in collaboration with the Department of Animation & Gaming, showcased an exhilarating blend of art and creativity over this two-day extravaganza. The festival commenced with an enchanting open-air cinema experience, featuring thought-provoking short films and documentaries that captured the audience's imagination.
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Jasola graced the event with his presence, commending the departments for their outstanding efforts. The festival transformed into a vibrant celebration, complete with food, jewelry, tattoos, and juice stalls, creating a lively atmosphere.
Day two welcomed Shri Satpal Maharaj, Cabinet Minister, Government of Uttarakhand, who inspired students to highlight Uttarakhand’s beauty through film. The festival featured cultural performances alongside captivating screenings, with renowned guests including actor Shri Srikant Verma and filmmaker Ms. Ritika Negi adding prestige. Himpravah 2024 was a remarkable showcase of student talent and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who attended.
