RESEARCH AREA

Physicochemical study of drug-surfactant interactions.
Combinational approaches in topical formulation utilizing physicochemical interaction study to reduce antimicrobial drug resistance and improve drug profile.
Design and synthesis of small molecules with an anticancer profile, especially those targeting the EGFR tyrosine kinase receptor (Tks).
Synthesis of hybrid heterocyclic compounds as antimicrobial and anticancer agents.
Quantitative structure-activity relationship and docking studies.

Received a Grant of 2 Lacs INR from Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) for organizing International Conference on “Thermodynamics & Pharmacokinetics in Pharmaceutical Drug Delivery” held at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, Mohali, Punjab in January 2025.
RSC Travel Grant Award from Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) to attend “Faraday Joint Interest Group Conference” at Sheffield, United Kingdom in April 2020
Young Scientist International Travel Grant from Science and Engineering Research Board (DST-SERB) to attend “Green & Sustainable Chemistry Conference” at Dresden, Germany in May 2019.

Dr. Arun Pratap Singh Rathod is currently working as Assistant Professor in Dept. of ECE at Graphic Era Hill University Dehradun. He previously worked as Senior Research Fellow, in DST funded project at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun. He has completed his B.Tech in Electronics & communication Engineering in 2012, MTech in VLSI Design and Systems in 2014 and PhD in 2023 in the field of Organic Electronics with specialization in Organic Thin Film Transistors (OTFTs). He possesses 5 years of research experience and has contributed significantly to the field of low cost and high speed OTFT structures. Dr. Arun Rathod has published 17 Scopus indexed papers and 24 patents and 1 SCI indexed research paper. He has been awarded Innovator of the Year by Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology in the year 2017. His research work has also been recognized by NIRD&PR, Hyderabad in the year 2018. In 2021 author was awarded Best Young Scientist Award by International Association of Research and Developed Organization. At present he is working on thin film novel device architectures, circuit minimization, optimization of Organic Thin Film Transistors and smart coatings for enhancing efficiency of solar panels.
