Dr. Kalicharan Sharma is a distinguished medicinal chemist with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Jamia Hamdard University, specializing in drug design, molecular modelling, and synthetic chemistry, with impactful contributions to cancer, inflammatory, infectious diseases, and COVID-19 research. His career spans academia–industry collaborations at Piramal Discovery Solutions, Mankind Research Centre, and Remedium Therapeutics, highlighted by the successful design and clinical translation of Coroquil-Zn during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has supervised over 35 M. Pharm students and 1 PhD awarded, is mentoring 6 PhD scholars, with more than 115 publications, 7 patents, 10 book chapters and 2 Books. His work has earned national awards and fellowships, and he actively consults for pharmaceutical companies, bridging computational design with real-world therapeutic solutions of healthcare.
