The Department of English at Graphic Era Hill University organized an enriching Alumni Interaction Session featuring Ms. Shivnetri Kushwaha, B.A. (H) English (Batch 2016-19), currently a Community & Operations Specialist at d’you. In her talk titled “The WordSmiths of Business: How English Graduates Bring Creativity, Adaptability & Ethical Reasoning to the Corporate Table,” she eloquently highlighted the indispensable skills of English literature graduates in the corporate realm. Ms. Kushwaha’s insights emphasized the importance of “learning to learn,” showcasing how the study of literature fosters critical thinking, adaptability, and strong communication—core competencies that drive success in today’s business environment. She further discussed the vital role of ethical reasoning in addressing modern business challenges, underscoring the necessity of clear and impactful communication.
