The Department of Media and Mass Communication at Graphic Era Hill University hosted an enlightening event with Shri Jitin Prasada, Honourable Union Minister of State, Electronics and Information Technology and Commerce, as the Chief Gues t. Delivering a compelling talk on “Empowering a Digital India: The Trans formative Role of Digitization and Innovation in Nation Building”, Shri Prasada emphasized the significance of infrastructure, emerging technologies ,and digital literacy in shaping India’ s future. He inspired student s to embrace opportunities in technology , cyber space, and innovation, urging them to dream big while staying grounded. The session commenced with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Jasola, Vice Chancel lor,reflecting on GEHU’ s v i s ion and commitment to excellence.
The event also marked the inauguration of “GEHU Talkies Podcast”, a student-driven initiative mentored by Dr. Taha Siddiqui, Head of the Department, showcasing media creativity and innovation. The presence of Prof. (Dr.) Narpinder Singh, Vice Chancel lor of GEU, added to the event’s significance.
