In observance of National Science Day 2025, the Department of Physics at Graphic Era Hill University, in collaboration
with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Dehradun, organized an insightful industrial visit for B.Sc. (Hons) Physics
students of the Standard Club to Ram Janki Aqua Industry, Selaqui. The initiative was designed to bridge theoretical
learning with practical application, offering students a first-hand experience of standardized industrial processes in
water purification and packaging.
Through guided tours and expert interactions at the facility, students gained valuable knowledge about quality control
protocols, safety measures, and the role of BIS standards in ensuring public health and industrial efficiency. The visit
exemplified the university’s commitment to experiential learning and nurturing scientific curiosity. Such initiatives
highlight the role of academia in preparing students for future scientific and industrial contributions while promoting
awareness of national standards and their real-world significance.
