Dr. Himani Binjola is an academic and media professional with over 14 years of experience in both industry and academia. She has worked with national media organizations including Hindustan Media Ventures Limited and Amar Ujala Publications, gaining experience in brand management, public relations, and event management.Currently serving as Associate Professor at Graphic Era Hill University, Dr. Binjola focuses on curriculum development, research supervision, and fostering industry-academia connections. Her doctoral research examined the relationship between public opinion and policy-making processes in India.
Dr. Binjola has published over 20 research papers in national and international journals, exploring topics such as digital media, social communication, and policy studies. Her recent work includes studies on fake news during COVID-19, social media’s role in democratic processes, and media representation issues.She has experience in managing externally funded research projects worth over ₹40 lakhs, focusing on community impact assessments and media research. Her work involves understanding the social and economic effects of development projects on local communities.
As an educator, Dr. Binjola works to connect academic learning with practical industry applications. She maintains relationships with media organizations to provide students with internship opportunities and real-world exposure to the field. Her current research interests include emerging media technologies, journalism ethics, and digital communication trends in the Indian context.
