Dr. Archana Bharti Sonkar is a Pharmacology researcher with a Ph.D. from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, and over seven years of extensive research experience in cancer pharmacology and molecular therapeutics. Her research primarily focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression, with particular emphasis on pathways such as interleukins, STAT3, and lactate transporters (MCT-1 and MCT-4), integrating in-vitro, in-vivo, and in-silico approaches. She has successfully led an ICMR-SRF funded research project investigating the antiproliferative effects of novel therapeutic compounds in lung carcinoma models, demonstrating significant expertise in preclinical cancer research using cell lines and animal models. She is an author and co-author in numerous research and review articles published in high-impact international journals, contributing to advancements in targeted therapy.

She has one granted patent in biomedical technology and another under process related to gene-silencing strategies in hypoxic cancer cells. She also has teaching experience in pharmacy education and has actively participated in national and international conferences, where she has presented her work through oral and poster presentations.

Dr. Sonkar’s research interests include cancer pharmacology, molecular and clinical pharmacology, antioxidant studies, targeted drug delivery, and RNA-based therapeutics. Her multidisciplinary expertise bridges experimental pharmacology with computational and translational approaches, aiming to develop effective and innovative therapeutic strategies for cancer management.
