Training And Production Of Mushroom At Mushroom Unit | School of Agriculture

The Mushroom Unit which was started on 23rd Dec., 2021, under the aegis of School of Agriculture, harvested oyster mushrooms for this season. The unit is run by Dr. Deepak Kholiya, Professor and Dr. Supriya Gupta, Assistant Professor, School of Agriculture. Till now, approx.. 25 kg of mushroom has been cultivated, harvested and marketed. Along with this, the final year students of B.Sc. (H) Agriculture (Batch 2018-2022) were also trained on mushroom cultivation. The unit provides an excellent opportunity for the students to learn mushroom production practices from the trained experts from Green Pahadi Foundation, an NGO working for agricultural and rural development.
